About Us

Hannah Strasser Olson, Chief Fundraising Strategist

Hannah believes that the right tools can unlock huge potential in every community. An international speaker, educator, and fundraising consultant, Hannah founded Aleinu Consulting Services to build partnerships that help nonprofit organizations thrive.

Born and raised in California, Hannah's passion for the Jewish community and Jewish communal work was ignited from a young age. After receiving her BA in Religious Studies from UC Santa Barbara and her Teaching Credential from the California State University, Sacramento, she spent 10 years teaching in public and private Jewish day schools. Her career path switched to fundraising and donor relations when she became the Executive Director of the Jewish Community Foundation of the West and then the Director of Major and Planned Gifts at the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. Getting back to her roots in education, Hannah worked as the Chief Donor Relations Officer and Director of Marketing for Berman Hebrew Academy before becoming the VP of Development for Prizmah: Center for Jewish Day Schools. Hannah enjoys cooking for her family and friends, diving into a good book, and 6 am workouts.

Elan Burman, Senior Associate

He has held senior leadership positions, including planned giving, capital campaign, annual campaign, events planning, and major gift solicitations on two continents. His keen interest in technology has seen him oversee CRM implementations and the use of these technologies to increase efficiency. Elan enjoys cooking, reading about current affairs, politics, pluralism, and the auto/biographies of leaders. He is a proud alumnus of the prestigious Wexner Field Fellowship initiative.
